Every plan can do everything. All features — Push, Whisper, Sounds, Handouts, Print export, Story Web, Cut-Ins, Tension Arc, Foreshadowing, all of it — work on every plan, including the free one. Plans differ only in monthly Threads, campaigns, player seats, storage, and support. The optional AI help is pay-per-use with Threads, your credit for optional extras — you buy, earn, or receive them monthly. Threads never expire.

During the beta the paid plans show Coming Soon and can't be booked yet; new accounts get Storyteller for free.

What it does

Every plan can do everything. AI actions cost Threads (image 5 · long text 4 · short text 1). Threads never expire. Storage can be extended with Threads (+500 MB).

Plan comparison

That's the whole table — there is no feature column, because every feature is included on every plan. Pushing scenes, text and images to your players is unlimited on every plan, including the free one.

Threads — what they buy

Every use of the AI help debits Threads from your balance, pay-per-use:

You always see the price before you pay it: every AI help button carries a cost badge (e.g. "5 🧵"), a confirm dialog shows the cost and your current balance before any paid action runs, and a live Threads chip in the topbar tracks your balance as you play.

💡 Bring your own AI key (⚙️ Tantu Settings → Your own API keys (optional)): AI text actions cost 0 Threads and run on your provider account instead. Image suggestions are free only with your own Google Gemini key; sound always costs Threads.

Free Threads — what you earn without paying

100 starter Threads, e.g. for 20 portrait suggestions or plenty of short text suggestions — all covered before you spend anything.

Thread bundles

Buy Threads any time — they never expire:

You can buy bundles on the free (Adventurer) plan too. Bundle Threads, monthly plan Threads, and earned Threads all land in the same balance — and none of them expire.

What the Adventurer (free) plan really is

The free plan is the complete GM toolkit, forever — every feature the paid plans have. You can run a full campaign: build your world, create NPCs, plan sessions, push scenes to your players' phones, whisper, hand out handouts, track initiative, use the full SRD.

What's smaller on free (limits, not features):

• 1 campaign (paid plans: unlimited)
• Up to 6 players per campaign
• 100 MB storage (extendable with Threads, +500 MB per pack)
• No monthly Threads allowance — you run on your starter grant, earned Threads, and bundles

One important note about free Realms: If your Realm has no activity for 14 days it pauses automatically (your container stops; all data stays safe). The next time you log in, it starts back up — this takes a few seconds. Paid plans are always-on.

No trial — free is forever

There is no time-limited trial and no countdown. You start on the free Adventurer plan and get 100 free Threads the moment you complete signup — no credit card required. Spend them on portrait suggestions, NPC suggestions, scene suggestions, or anything else, at your own pace, and earn more as you hit milestones (see Free Threads above).

Your data is yours from day one. Upgrade to a paid plan whenever a monthly Threads allowance, more campaigns, more player seats, or extra storage makes sense for your table — never because a feature is missing.

Upgrading, downgrading, cancelling

During the beta, plans can't be bought, changed or cancelled in the interface yet. The dashboard at app.wovenkeep.com shows your plan in the Account card and, once a subscription is set to end, Subscription ends on … in the Instance card. For questions about your plan, use the contact form at app.wovenkeep.com/kontakt.

Stripe handles checkout and card storage — Wovenkeep never sees your card number. Invoices are listed in the Invoices card on your dashboard (also included in your GDPR export).

GM-controlled AI spending

You can decide whether players are allowed to trigger paid AI actions (which draw from your Threads balance) from their view. In the GM tool, open ⚙️ Tantu Settings in the sidebar and switch Players may use paid Tantu functions (charged to my Thread credit) under Player Tantu access. The setting applies to your whole Realm; default is off.

Geo-restricted at signup (sanctions compliance): CN, RU, IR, KP, BY, SY, MM.

FAQ on pricing

Is the Adventurer (free) plan time-limited? No. Free is forever — there's no countdown after which it stops working, and every feature works on it. Note that free Realms sleep after 14 days of inactivity — this is not deletion, just an energy-saving pause, and they wake up the next time you log in.

Do unused monthly Threads expire? No. Threads never expire — monthly plan Threads, purchased bundles, and earned Threads all stay in your balance until you spend them.

Can I buy Threads on the free plan? Yes. Threads are yours regardless of plan — spend them on AI actions anytime, no subscription needed.

What happens to my data if I cancel? Nothing is deleted. Your Realm drops to the free Adventurer plan; data stays intact; your monthly Threads stop, but everything keeps working — every feature stays available and your remaining Threads balance stays yours.

Can I pay annually? Monthly only at launch. Annual billing (with a discount) is on the roadmap.

Refunds? Within 14 days of a charge, contact support. Stripe-processed; standard EU consumer rights apply.

What is a Realm? Your private Wovenkeep instance — one per account. It hosts all your campaigns, NPCs, and player invites. Think of it as your own table on the internet.
